Everest University, 935 E. Memorial Blvd., suite 110, in Lakeland, is part of a 102-school network with locations in 23 states, including seven campuses in Florida.

The course offerings focus on career training, with associate's and bachelor's degrees.

The for-profit schools are owned by Corinthian Colleges Inc., which is based in Santa Ana, Calif.

Everest is accredited as a senior college of business by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.

Prospective students need to complete a standardized exam and have a personal interview with an admissions representative. To apply, visit www.everest.edu/getting_in.

Programs offered at the Lakeland campus include bachelor's degrees in accounting, applied management, business and criminal justice; associate's degrees in accounting, applied management, business, criminal justice and paralegal; diploma certificates in massage therapy, medical assistant, medical insurance billing and coding, and pharmacy technician.
