Establishes one-on-one friendships between adult volunteers and children from single-parent households.
Pair children 5 to 16 years old with caring adult mentors. Volunteers can opt to mentor a child one hour a week at a nearby school or after-school site, or they can pick up a child at the child's home and enjoy free/low-cost activities in the community.
To help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.
Adult volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life are needed to serve as mentors. High school juniors and seniors also may mentor a child at school and possibly receive community service credit hours. Married couples may mentor a child together as a 'Big Couple.'
