Offer/teach CPR/first aid to the working community as well as health care professionals. We hold public classes each month in the Lakeland and Winter Haven areas.
To reduce the risk of premature death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and sudden death events in Greater Polk County.
Assist during the Save A Life Saturday events, held twice a year (one in Lakeland and one in Winter Haven). Volunteers help set up mannequins for the event and/or sit at the registration table. Volunteers also are needed occasionally to help with our tabletop exhibit/brochures for various health fairs. And on occasion, come assist with data entry in our office.
