Address the special needs of blind and newly blind individuals of all ages with a comprehensive, high-quality, rehabilitation program that includes case management, daily living skills training, communication skills instruction, orientation and mobility training, peer support, low-vision clinic services, community integration/socialization, vocational evaluation, personal and vocational computer training, supported employment, job placement and rehabilitation engineering. Transition programs are provided for blind and visually impaired teens ages 13 to 22 and enrolled in high school.
To maximize independence and provide employment opportunities for persons who are blind or visually impaired.
