Polk County Property Appraiser's Office

The Polk County Property Appraiser's Office sets the appraised value on real estate and tangible property within Polk County.

Polk's property appraiser is Marsha Faux.

The office's appraisals are the basis for levying taxes by local governments and other taxing authorities, such as the Polk County School District.

Forms and information on appraised values of property are available on the office's Web site.

New homeowners seeking homestead exemptions must apply in person.

The property appraiser's Web site also has information on other exemptions for seniors, widows and widowers, veterans, and totally and permanently disabled people.
