Lake Wales Pioneer Days

Events honoring the history of a city are not unusual, but Lake Wales officials try to inject some suspense into this annual celebration.

Pioneer Days not only pays tribute to long-deceased city founders, it also honors a living contributor to the city's heritage with the presentation of the Pioneer of the Year award.

The 37th Annual Lake Wales Pioneer Days will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27. All events will take place on the shores of Lake Wailes
