Basketball
The center offers youth basketball for boys and girls ages 4 to 15. Registration begins in September, with games November through February. Games are on Saturdays. The fee is $40 for players ages 4 to 7 and $60 for players ages 8 to 15. For more information, call 863-834-3284.

Swimming
Offers swim lessons for children ages 6 months and older. Registration begins April 1. Swimmers can register for lessons at www.lakelandgov.net.

Programs offered include junior lifeguard training, a team-building program during spring break, dive-in movies and Club Splash for the week of spring break including aquatic activities for ages 10 to 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Weekend late night swims and dive-in movies are scheduled for this summer.

Lap swimming is available at the Simpson Park pool at 5:30 a.m. beginning June 11.

Open and lap swim , as well as dive-in movies are $3 per person. Swimming lessons are $144 for six half-hour sessions.

The Gandy Pool is located at 404 Imperial Blvd. The Simpson Park pool is located at 1725 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

Tennis
The center also has public city tennis courts..
