The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that help build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Membership fees vary from youth to seniors.
North Lakeland YMCA is at 2125 Sleepy Hill Road.
The North Lakeland Y offers a sports clinic in April for children ages 3 to 5 focusing on a different sport each week for eight weeks.
Hours for the Y is 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday

Basketball
The YMCA offers a summer basketball league for players ages 3 to 14. Registration begins in March with games in June and July. The fall season registration begins July 10, with games in October and November. The YMCA is located at 2125 Sleepy Hill Road. For more information, call 863-859-7769.

Soccer

Gymnastics
Offers a gymnastics program on Thursday evenings for children ages 3 to 12. Sessions are monthly.

Swimming
Located at 2125 Sleepy Hill Road in North Lakeland, offers a Barracuda Swim team, a competitive program for boys and girls age 5 to 18, which begins practice in April. The team is available for YMCA members only. The Y offers swimming lessons, including private lessons, for all people of all skill levels and abilities. Water exercise classes are also available.
