The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that help build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Membership fees vary from youth to seniors.

The South Lakeland YMCA is at 3620 Cleveland Heights Blvd.

Hours for the Y is 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday

Football
The YMCA offers a spring league for players ages 4 to 16 that begins in March and runs through April. The South Lakeland Family YMCA is at 3620 Cleveland Heights Blvd.

Basketball
The South YMCA at 3620 Cleveland Heights Blvd., offers youth basketball for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 in summer and fall programs. Summer registration begins March 27 and ends May 14. Games begin June 15. Fall registration begins July 10 and runs through Sept. 18. Games begin Oct. 6.

The YMCA also offers a youth skills camp in March and April.

T-ball

Gymnastics
Offers gymnastics programs for children ages 12 months to 14 years. Classes also are offered for cheerleading, ballet and gymnastics. Tumbling and new pre-team classes are offered for children ages 7 to 14.
Fees vary depending on age and ability level. Instructors are certified through YMCA instruction.
Classes are available for children with special needs.

Soccer
The YMCA offers a spring soccer league for children ages 6 to 11 with games beginning March 3. The South Lakeland Family YMCA is located at 3620 Cleveland Heights Blvd.

Swimming

Volunteers: Enrich the community through programs, outreach and collaborations with other organizations.
