Winter Haven Stingrays

An age-group swim team that trains at the Rowdy Gaines Pool at the Chain of Lakes Complex, 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd. Swimmers range in age from 5 to 19, with a master's program for adult swimmers. Tryouts are open anytime during practices. Swimmers must know how to swim 25 yards freestyle, front crawl and 25 yards backstroke. The team has two home meets a year and competes throughout the state. The Stingrays are sanctioned by Florida Swimming, a division of USA Swimming. The fees are $40 per month per child. There is a $40 annual fee per person to join the team and $58 to register with USA Swimming annually.
