Highland Park

Nestled in the rolling hills of the ridge linking Lake Wales and Frostproof is the bedroom community of Highland Park.

The village incorporates approximately 3,000 acres of land and two lakes, Lake Amoret and Lake Easy.

Government: Three commissioners manage the government. The mayor is selected by the commission. Commissioners serve three-year terms, with one member elected annually. Elections are held in April. None is paid. They meet at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of every other month, beginning with January.
