GAME RECAP:
Pittsburgh running back Franco Harris rushed for a Super Bowl-record 158 yards and a touchdown and the Steelers defense held Minnesota to 119 yards of offense, including a Super Bowl-low 17 rushing yards. Pittsburgh led just 2-0 at the half after Minnesota quarterback Fran Tarkenton was tackled in the end zone. Harris scored on a 9-yard run and quarterback Terry Bradshaw hit Larry Brown for a 4-yard touchdown for Pittsburgh. Minnesota’s lone score came on a blocked punt by Matt Blair recovered in the end zone by Terry Brown.
