Perfection. The Miami Dolphins completed the NFL’s lone perfect season in the Super Bowl era. Jim Kiick scored on a 1-yard run and Bob Griese hit Howard Twilley for a 28-yard touchdown in the first half for Miami. Miami safety Jake Scott had two interceptions, including one in the end zone to stop a Redskins drive. Washington’s only score came late in the game on a misplayed field goal. Kicker Garo Yepremian fumbled the bad snap and Washington’s Mike Bass returned it 49 yards for a score.
