The Dallas defense intercepted four passes and recovered four fumbles to lead the Cowboys to their second Super Bowl victory. Denver managed just 11 first downs and 156 total yards. Dallas running back Tony Dorsett scored on a 3-yard run, Roger Staubach and Butch Johnson connected on a 45-yard score and running back Robert Newhouse hit Golden Richards on a 29-yard touchdown for Dallas. Kicker Efren Herrera hit two field goals.
