GAME RECAP:
Eli Manning’s 13-yard touchdown to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds remaining lifted the Giants to their third Super Bowl title and prevented the Patriots from going undefeated for the season. The Patriots had won 18 straight games before losing in the title game.

The Giants defense sacked Tom Brady five times in keeping the Patriots to their lowest point total of the season. New England took the lead, 14-10, on a 6-yard pass from Brady to Randy Moss with 2:42 remaining before Manning drove the Giants 83 yards on 12 plays for the winning score. Manning threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns. New England’s Wes Welker tied a Super Bowl record with 11 catches. He had 103 yards receiving. Brady had 266 yards and one touchdown.
