GAME RECAP:
Oakland dominated Washington from the start setting Super Bowl records for most points and largest margin of victory. Running back Marcus Allen rushed for a Super Bowl-record 191 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown, which was also a record for longest run. Oakland got scores on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone by Derrick Jansen, a 12-yard touchdown pass to Cliff Branch and an interception return for a touchdown by Jack Squirek to take a 21-3 halftime lead.
