GAME RECAP:
Steve Young passed for a Super Bowl-record six touchdowns as the 49ers became the first team to win five Super Bowls. Young completed 24 of 36 passes for 325 yards in the victory. He also rushed for a game-high 49 yards. Receiver Jerry Rice caught 10 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Ricky Watters also had three touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing). San Diego rookie Andre Coleman became the third player to return a kickoff for a touchdown.
